Flat Stanley

Flat Mackenzie arrived just before a snow storm in Shrewsbury , Pennsylvania on 2/8/2012. She went out to see the snow on the morning of 2/9/2012. She will be visiting with Aunt Nancy and Uncle Carl. We will keep you posted on her as she travels with us! Hugs to you Mackenezie!

Flat Max, along with his twin sister “flat” Allie, visited the Las Vegas KLAS-TV Channel 8 and news anchors Denise Valdez and Gary Waddell on set today, Thursday, February 9, 2012. We stayed out of the way, but were able to also get some up close time at the news and producers desks.

Sebastian, I know you don’t recognize Flat Sebastian–he’s dressed up.  He had to go to book club with me.  We were discussing a book, Nothing Daunted, which is about Colorado 1916.  He had to wear a rain hat and slicker, but I only had a pink one.  He wasn’t in a good mood.  However, he did enjoy the cinnamon and sugar pastries.  I let him have coffee but then he talked nonstop so I won’t do that anymore.

The lady in the second photo with the long dark hair has a stable and horses.  She tried to talk Flat Sebastian into coming home with her and riding horses but he said it sounded too much like what happened to the gingerbread man and so he refused.  The lady in the first photo on the far left lives right next to the Ravenel Bridge here.  She suggested Flat Sebastian might want to come over and walk the bridge with her.  I warned him that it can be so windy that he’d end up in the river and he declined that invite as well.  All in all he had a pretty good day–other than the pink slicker.

Flat Stanley Sighting in Nebraska!

We grow lots of corn in NE and we are crazy about our football!!!!! We took Lydia with us to a Nebraska Husker’s football game. It was so much fun because Lydia’s mom and big brother got to be here too. This is a picture of Lydia getting ready to go into Memorial Stadium with me (Aunt Bev), Abby and Chas.
